Biography

With more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, I have dedicated my professional life to caring for patients and helping them achieve healthier, more fulfilling lives. My career began in Venezuela, where I earned my medical degree and gained valuable clinical experience in emergency medicine and internal medicine.

After relocating to Central Florida 18 years ago, I continued my journey in healthcare and became a Family Nurse Practitioner. My commitment to continued education and professional growth ultimately led me to earn my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), further strengthening my foundation in evidence-based, comprehensive, and patient-centered care.

One of my greatest professional interests is preventive health and helping patients reduce their risk of chronic and long-term disease. I believe that caring for health goes far beyond prescribing medications. Achieving wellness requires a multifactorial approach that combines appropriate medical treatment with good nutrition, physical activity, healthy lifestyle choices, and sustainable changes in daily habits—without forgetting the importance of enjoying life.

I try to embrace that philosophy in my own life as well. I enjoy exercising and practicing karate, and I encourage my patients to find a form of physical activity they genuinely enjoy. Exercise should not simply feel like another obligation; finding an activity you’re passionate about can make an active lifestyle more meaningful and sustainable.

Family and faith are also central to my life. I have a strong Catholic faith and believe that faith can provide hope, strength, and resilience when facing life’s difficulties. These values influence my approach to patient care and reinforce my belief in treating each individual with compassion, dignity, respect, and attention to the whole person.

Ultimately, my goal as a healthcare provider is not only to manage illness, but also to educate and empower patients to become active participants in their own health. I want my patients to understand that healthier choices can prevent disease, improve quality of life, and still allow them to enjoy the life they are working to protect.
